Greenhouse students plan activities and lessons for other students
In Greenhouse class some amazing student-peer interactions occurred. Students were invited into the classroom where they were taught the life cycle stages of a pumpkin. Greenhouse students have been working in groups to plan engaging lessons for these students. After the lessons were completed, every student was able to go out to the greenhouse and pick out there very own pumpkin. These pumpkins were the ones grown over the summer by FFA members as part of our Plant an Extra Row Campaign. As an extra experience, Bella Burke, a greenhouse student who also is raising friendly pigs, toured the students in the barn. This created a very real pumpkin patch/fall farm theme.
Amazing to see the collaboration, leadership and connection to multiple aspects of education and extended learning for all students. Every one of our students walked away with a great learning experience.
