We are a Kids at Hope School.
Under Impact Aid Section 7003, the Yelm Community School District may be entitled to federal funds for the operation and maintenance of our school facilities and to enrich our school programs. These funds are proved to school district to compensate for local tax dollars that are lost as the result of non-taxable federal payrolls or properties. In order to obtain these funds we have to identify each of our students' parent or guardian who live or work on Federal property. Therefore, we ask you to complete a brief survey by December 31st, 2022. Please click on the heading for the survey.
At Yelm Community Schools, we value our partnership with families. It is important that all families experience a sense of belonging in our schools. Please complete the survey to help us understand your perspective of your experience at Southworth. The survey will be available from November 21st through December 2nd. You are welcome to complete a separate survey for each campus where you have a student. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback by December 16.
On November 1, we held our first "Community Conversation" this year about substance use. Thank you to our panel Coroner Gary Warnock, Sheriff John Snaza and Lt. Tim Rudloff (County Drug Task Force) for participating along with our own Shannon Gubser (SEL Coach) and Skylar Cole (Social Worker). This a serious issue in Thurston County, and Yelm is not immune to the impact. The one hour event was recorded and is available on our website.
