Message from the Superintendent
Dear Yelm Community Schools Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! We’re excited to see our students return, ready for new opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed. This year marks the launch of our 2025–2030 Strategic Plan — Future-Ready Students. Community-Strong Schools. — which will guide our work in preparing every student to reach their full potential.
At the heart of our plan are three core commitments: Learning, Belonging, and Community. Learning means every student has access to rigorous, high-quality instruction and the right support to thrive. Belonging ensures every student feels safe, respected, and connected in our schools. Community is about working together — families, staff, and neighbors — to give our students the strongest foundation possible. These areas are deeply connected, and when they work together, our students are positioned to grow, lead, and succeed.
Your involvement matters more than ever. Whether it’s attending school events, volunteering, engaging with teachers, or simply asking your child about their day, your participation makes a direct difference in their success. Together, we can make sure our students not only meet academic goals, but also feel seen, valued, and supported every step of the way.
Thank you for being a vital part of our Yelm Community Schools family. We look forward to a year of meaningful learning, strong relationships, and shared accomplishments.
