    State Testing in May

Students in grades 3-8 and 10 will be participating in the state required Smarter Balanced Assessments in English language arts and math in late April and through the month of May. Schools should have already communicated their testing schedules over this time period. In addition, students in grades 5, 8 and 11 will participate in the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science. Each of these assessments provides valuable information to schools regarding student mastery of key learning standards and is the most heavily weighted tool the state uses to evaluate the effectiveness of schools. Read more about the benefits of testing and tips to help your child prepare.
