Yelm Community Schools has expanded its educational vision beyond K-12. As part of the district's larger Graduate Yelm! initiative, YCS has formed strong regional partnerships to address a broader range of educational needs. In collaboration with South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) and Yelm Timberland Library, the district offers English as a Second Language and High School + Diploma completion courses at Yelm Extension School and promotes SPSCC's Adult Digital Literacy course.
Our goal is to remove every conceivable barrier to educational attainment for Yelm citizens. Through High School + and ESL classes, adults have access to Chromebooks onsite, printing, wifi, and electronic research tools through Yelm Timberland Library. SPSCC further provides career counseling, financial aid information, and access to certificate and degree programs. All services are free of charge.
