Graduation Requirements

  • There are four required components to earn a Yelm High School diploma. Graduation requirements are aligned with district policies and the requirements of the state of Washington.

    Credit Requirements:
Students in the classes 2016-2020 must earn 22 required credits.
Students in the classes of 2021 & beyond must earn 24 credits.

    State Testing Requirements:
Students are currently required to take state approved tests in reading, writing, math and science. Refer to the table below for the requirements of each graduation class. Those students not meeting standard on the first attempt will have future testing options or alternatives.  More information available at www.ycs.wednet.edu/statetesting.
