Southworth teachers are dedicated professionals committed to high levels of student achievement. Their continuous growth and development as educators are critical to their ability to teach students effectively. Late-Start Wednesdays provide a framework to engage in collaborative activities that will directly impact student learning. Each Wednesday the Southworth teaching staff will meet in grade level teams to continually investigate the answers to the following questions:
What do we expect students to learn? How will we know if they have learned? What will we do if they have not learned? How will we respond when they do learn?
Each week, teams work on strategic plans that target students' specific learning needs and measure progress toward those goals. This continuous refinement of teaching and learning will create equity and access for all students to the highest quality education possible.
