E-Cigarettes

E-Cigarettes, Juuling, and Vaporing Devices

It is estimated that over 75% of high school and 50% of middle school kids have tried Juuling.  Recently in the news you may have heard some terrible stories about the use of e-cigarettes, also known as vaping or juuling.  Students think these products are not as harmful as regular cigarettes, but that’s not true. The heated liquid produces an aerosol which is filled with nicotine often disguised with fruity flavors. Not only is it addicting, the vapors can cause respiratory disease or other damage to the lungs. These products are not allowed on campus and are illegal for students to buy; however, we are seeing an increase in our schools. These devices can be hidden in plain sight and often look like a flash drive.  Please take the time to learn more and speak with your students about the dangers of e-cigarettes.
