Meet My Counselor

Students: A-DeDarci Cook was born and raised on a large wheat farm in Eastern Washington. She earned her Associates Degree at Spokane Community College and moved onto Eastern Washington University to earn her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology. She continued to move to Alabama with her family and earned her Master’s Degree in School Counseling after moving back to Washington State. She currently resides in Roy with her husband, who is a military pilot, and youngest son. Her oldest son is also in the military. Darci loves competing in triathlons and has raced in 5, so far. Her goal is to race in a half-iron and Ironman distance in the next few years. You may see her around running, biking or swimming across a local lake. She would love to hear about your hobbies and your favorite sports to compete in!Kristopher Nuce
Students: Di-HKristopher Nuce attended Green River Community College and transferred over to Central Washington University, earning a B.A. in Law and Justice and a Minor in Sociology. After working as a paraeducator for two years, he headed back to college and received his M.A. Ed. in School Counseling from Seattle Pacific University. Kristopher is really into any Seattle sports team, hiking, reading sci-fi (Pierce Brown is a favorite), cooking, and asking for crayons at restaurants. Kristopher loves learning about other people’s interests and would be pleased if you stopped in and shared what you enjoy and or recommend.
Marcie Hubbard
Students: I-MoMarcie Hubbard is a (medically) retired veteran of the United States Navy. After completing her time in the service, Marcie utilized her GI Bill to earn a B.A. in Psychology from University of Washington, before pursuing her Masters in Education through Seattle Pacific University. Marcie resides in Tenino with her partner and three children. Marcie’s professional interests are social justice and equity in education, while her personal interests include kayaking, hiking, camping, stargazing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, listening to music, reading and running. Marcie lives on music and loves rap, hip-hop, emo and screamo punk rock, and indie music and would love to hear recommendations you might have.Sarah Williams
Students: Mu-Si
Sarah Williams, a Washington native, attended Azusa Pacific University (CA) earning her B.A. in Psychology and M.A. Ed. in Educational Counseling. She spent four years working as a school counselor in western Montana before coming back to the Pacific Northwest to join the YHS school counseling team in 2017. Sarah has a knack for adventure; she has explored the Great Wall of China, paraglided in Venezuela, bungee jumped in South Africa, and climbed Mt. Rainier. Suggestions are always welcome for her next big trip.Kelli Little
Students: Sk-Z
Kelli Little has been a counselor at Yelm High School since 2010. She grew up in Everett, WA and moved to the Olympia area in 2000 where she has lived ever since. Kelli earned her Associate of Arts Transfer Degree from South Puget Sound Community College and then transferred to the University of Washington in Tacoma to earn her Bachelor of Arts Degree. After taking a couple of years off, Kelli attended City University where she earned her Masters of Education in School Counseling. Kelli has two children and resides in Lacey with her husband, Shawn.
