Washington Indian Gaming Association - March 31st
The Washington Indian Gaming Association (WIGA) Scholarship Program will award up to $100,000 for Native American and Alaska Native students for the 2023 – 2024 academic school year.
CRITERIA:
- Must be an enrolled member of a Washington tribe.
- Scholarships can be used for 2- & 4- year colleges and universities as well as for advanced degrees.
- If you win a scholarship, you can apply for renewal in upcoming years.

Sigrid Hardy Memorial Scholarship - March 31st
CRITERIA

- The Sigrid Hardy Memorial Scholarship was created in April 2019 with a goal of helping high school graduates impacted by cancer pay for college expenses.

Community Foundation of South Puget Sound - April 12th
The 2023 Community Foundation Scholarship Cycle is now open! This foundation sponsors MANY scholarships that are available only to local high school seniors.

Washington Women in Need (WWIN) helps low income women transform their lives with grants for education and healthcare.
WWIN offers a scholarship up to $5000 renewable for up to $20,000 total.

Western Washington Native American Education Consortium Merit Award - April 14
CRITERIA:
- Must be tribally affiliated or direct descendants
- This award is for students planning on attending an accredited two or four-year college, tribal college or university, including Career and Technical institutes.

- Student must be in a school where a Native Education Counselor is a member of WWNAEC (Yelm HS qualifies)

Imagine America Foundation Scholarships
The Imagine America Foundation (IAF) provides Scholarships for Trade School and Career College Students at IAF participating institutions.

America’s largest regional interstate tuition savings program
The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) is an agreement among WICHE’s 16 members, through which 160+ participating public colleges and universities provide steep nonresident tuition savings for Western students. Click here for the full list of participating WUE schools!
Through WUE, eligible students can choose from hundreds of undergraduate programs outside their home state, and pay no more than 150 percent of that institution’s resident tuition rate.
Since full nonresident college-tuition rates may exceed 300 percent of resident rates, WUE increases affordable higher-education choices for students, and minimizes the adverse impacts of student loan debt.

American Foreign Service Essay Contest, 9th - 12th graders - Due April 3rd
This National Essay Contest, sponsored by the American Foreign Service Association in partnership with the U.S. Institute of Peace, Semester at Sea and the National Student Leadership Conference is open to 9th - 12th graders.
The winner receives $2500, a trip to Washington DC to meet a member of the State Department's leadership and a full scholarship for a Semester at Sea educational voyage. The runner-up receives $1250 and a full scholarship to attend the International Diplomacy Program of the National Student Leadership Conference.

Horatio Alger Association Career and Technical Scholarships for students and adults
Scholarships are awarded to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States.

For the Class of 2024!
Class of 2024 - put this scholarship on your radar now as the application opens in July of 2023 and the deadline to apply is in September of 2023.
The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to 300 of these student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.
BASIC ELIGIBILITY
To apply, students must be:
- A high school senior
- From at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American
- Pell-eligible
- A US citizen, national, or permanent resident
- In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)

Imagine America Foundation Scholarships for Career Colleges
The Imagine America Foundation (IAF) provides Scholarships for Trade School and Career College Students at IAF participating institutions.
