Food for Classroom or Special Events

  • In planning classroom parties and school wide events, please help us reinforce the goal of helping your child make healthy food choices. Be sure to include at least one serving of fruits, vegetables, or juice in your party menu. All foods served at celebrations are to be store bought with ingredients listed. We cannot serve anything prepared at home. Avoid nut products due to the severity of peanut butter or peanut oil allergies. Parents of students with food allergies may wish to prepare a celebration package that is retained by the teacher.

If you would like to bring treats for your child’s birthday, they must follow the same guidelines above and should be individually wrapped. They should be brought into the office before lunch. The teacher will pick them up and hand them out during lunch or at a time convenient for his/her class.

Please do not have flowers or balloons delivered to school (these items are a possible allergen, a distraction in the classroom, and they are not allowed on the bus). Latex items of any kind are not allowed at school. Also, party invitations should not be given out at school.
