Harassment, Intimidation, and/or Bullying Behavior

  • A person is being bullied when he/she is exposed, repeatedly and over time, to negative actions on the part of one or more persons.  Negative action is when a person intentionally inflicts injury or discomfort upon another person, through physical contact, words or in other ways.

    Note that bullying is both overt and covert behaviors:

    • Physically harms a student or damages the student’s property
    • Has the effect of substantially interfering with a student’s education
    • Is so severe, persistent or pervasive that it creates an intimidating or threatening education environment
    • Has the effect of substantially disrupting the orderly operation of the school

    Students can report issues of inappropriate behavior using the online tool, STOP!t. It is a safe and secure tool which is 100% anonymous, 100% of the time. Students report anonymously via mobile app, web, or phone hotline service.
