ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Southworth Elementary has over 540 students with 27 classroom teachers and was opened in 1972. We passed a bond and will be rebuilding our school soon, see the construction tab for updated progress reports on our progress of building our new school. Southworth Elementary School is a Kids at Hope network of school. Students will learn the Kids at Hope Pledge and as a staff we will focus on these factors to support your child (ren):
- Children succeed when they are surrounded by adults who believe they can succeed.
- Children succeed when they have meaningful, sustainable relationships with caring adults.
- Children succeed when they can articulate their future.
As a building we have also adopted PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention Strategies). Our new school rules for this year are:
- Be SAFE
- Be TRUSTWORTHY
- Be RESPECTFUL
