Learning Standards and Instructional Materials

  • Introduction

Yelm Community Schools is committed to providing a high-quality education that prepares our students for success in college, career, and life. To achieve this goal, our K-12 instructional program aligns to the learning standards and course design and instructional materials guidelines published by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). This alignment ensures that our curriculum is rigorous, relevant, and aligned with state and national expectations. Our teachers and staff work diligently to design and implement instructional programs that engage students in deep learning, promote critical thinking, and foster a love of lifelong learning. By aligning our instructional program to OSPI's standards and guidelines, we ensure that our students receive an education that meets high expectations and prepares them for success in the 21st century.
