National Honor Society

  • National Honor Society was formed in 1919 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. It was formed in order to promote scholarship, leadership, character and service in and out of the classroom and on and off the athletic field. Today there are approximately 12,500 chapters in the United States. The Yelm High School National Honor Society chapter currently has 138 active members. We strive towards fulfilling the central ideas of National Honor Society; Scholarship, Leadership, Character and Service.

Students must maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA AND complete 5 hours of National Honor Society activities between September 2021 and May 1, 2022.   Failure to complete one or both of these requirements will result in the student no longer being a member after May 1, 2022
