College Bound Scholarships Program for 7th and 8th Grade Students

  • The College Bound Scholarship is a financial aid program for 7th and 8th grade students who are eligible to participate in the free and reduced-price lunch program. It is designed to inspire students to begin making their college and career plans without worrying about the cost of attending college.
     
    Eligible students sign a pledge promising to graduate from high school, maintain a 2.0 GPA and be good citizens. In exchange, the state of Washington will pay for their college tuition and books - for up to four years or until the student earns a bachelor's degree.
     

    Eligibility

    Apply for the College Bound Scholarship if you meet one of the following criteria:
     
    Deadline to apply is June 30 of your 8th grade year. This year's 7th graders are also advised to sign-up this year, but have until the end of their 8th grade year to complete the enrollment process. Students are encouraged to apply online. Paper applications are also available in the RMS office.
