Your Career Center plays an intricate role in helping students with their career exploration through sharing information, conducting field trips, sponsoring professional presentations, one-on-one college and career counseling, as well as connecting students with admission counselors, apprenticeship programs, military representatives and so much more!We are here to help provide meaningful career exploration and help you walk through and reach your next steps. CARE = College, Career, Apprenticeship, Resources and Education Options! Please join us for this community-wide event taking place at Yelm High School on October 18th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.

College Admissions Counselor Visits Are Happening Now! Sign Up!
Many admission counselors will be here this fall to visit with students! If you are interested in meeting with an admission counselor to learn more about a school's programs, admission process and more, please sign up using my google form: 2023-2024 College Admission Counselor Visits.
You will need to get a permission slip from the Career Center to use as a pass out of class (if your teacher agrees to let you attend). Some presentations will be during lunches, but you may need permission from your 4th period teacher to miss part of class.The locations of the presentations will be in the Career Center which is now located behind the main office (previously the ISS space). You will be notified via email if there are changes to the presentations. Email or stop in with questions!NOTE! There are 2 College Fair coming up! St. Martin's is hosting a College Fair on October 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in their pavilion. To register, click here. AND! YHS is hosting its own College & Career Fair and Resource Night all on the same night - October 18th. So mark your calendars! More to come on this event. -
ASVAB October 23rd at YHS
YHS will be offering the ASVAB on October 23rd at 8:30 am
in the Library.If you are considering joining the military, you will need to take and pass the ASVAB - the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery - as a part of your process to enlist.
You can also use the ASVAB as a graduation pathway if you achieve a minimum score. It is also a great tool for career exploration! You do not have to be interested in joining the military in order to take this test. However, you must be a Junior or Senior in order to take the test this October.You must sign up ahead of time using the Google Form:
