Yelm Teachers are Serious about Student Success

Over the summer, 70 YCS teachers completed five days of training on how to engage students in deep levels of classroom learning. Hosted at Yelm High School, the Kagan Institute trained teachers how to get students working more often during lessons and how to ensure that all students are learning. The teachers worked hard to learn and practice 25 structures that get all students working, problem solving and demonstrating their learning.

The most common comments made by teachers after the Kagan Institute:
  • "This is the best training I've ever had!"
  • "I can't wait to use the strategies in class with all my students."
