Yelm Community Schools offers Highly Capable Program for students entering grades 4-6.  This program is designed to meet the needs of students with exceptionally high ability.  This program offers a once weekly after-school opportunity with a teacher utilizing a service learning curriculum.  Service-learning is the integration of academic goals with community service where both learning and services are emphasized. 

 

If you would like to have your child assessed for possible placement in this program for the 2013-14 school year, please complete a Parent/Guardian Application and Permission Form. Copies of the form are available from your child's school, the Office of Teaching and Learning or the link below.

 

Please note the Application and Permission Forms need to be returned to your child's school or the district office by the nomination deadline of March 1, 2013.
