At Yelm High School we believe that school is your job. Everything we do is designed to help you develop habits that will enable you to be successful when you leave high school and continue your post-secondary education
toward your chosen career path.

Yelm High School Student Handbook is designed to provide you with information about our rules, policies,
academic requirements, co-curricular activities, and student rights and responsibilities. The rules of conduct are
applicable during the school day as well as during any school activity conducted on or off campus. You are
encouraged to become familiar with information in this handbook so that your year is the best it can be. Yelm
High School is a community which needs the cooperation of all those people involved…students, staff, and
parents. Our goal is to make this school a pleasant and safe place to spend four years of your life.

We hope you take advantage of both the academic and co-curricular opportunities that are available at YHS. It
is a proven fact that the more you involve yourself in school activities, the more likely you are to be successful
in academics and activities. If you have questions regarding any of the information in this handbook or have
