(Dads of Great Students)
An innovative program focusing on safety in schools by using the positive influence of fathers and father figures for a two-fold purpose:
1: To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
2: To provide an extra set of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
Fathers, step-fathers, grandfathers, uncles are asked to spend at least one day at Lackamas: monitoring school property, working in small groups, using flashcards, helping with homework, refereeing games, listening ears, or whatever else needs to be done to plant seeds of success in the lives of students.
