New Student Registration
Students new to Yelm Community Schools may register at their neighborhood school. To find out which school your child will attend, please review the boundary maps (left) or call the District Office at 360.458.1900. You must know your address before the district can place your student in the correct school. (If you are requesting to transfer to a school outside of the boundaries, see Boundaries Exceptions & Transfers.)
Once you know which school your student will attend, call the school directly. Use the drop down menu at the top of the page to go the school's web site. A list of schools and phone numbers are at the bottom of this page for quick reference.
General Documentation & Information Required for Enrolling

Students who have NEVER attended school
To enroll in Kindergarten - must be age 5 on or before August 31
To enroll in First Grade - must be age 6 on or before August 31 or previously completed kindergarten
- Birth Certificate, plus all forms below
