Welcome to Yelm Community Schools!
Yelm Community Schools is located in southeast Thurston County in the Puget Sound region. Close to the majestic Mount Rainier and the shores of the Pacific Ocean, Yelm is a growing and thriving rural community near Olympia, Washington.
Currently we serve more than 5,300 students in nine schools. Yelm High School, Ridgeline Middle School, McKenna and Lackamas Elementary Schools are new or have been extensively renovated using proceeds of a construction bond approved by voters in February of 2003. Other buildings have upgraded HVAC systems, new roofs, or improved playgrounds through the district's preventative maintenance program. Overall, our facilities are in excellent condition.
